Adults
R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
Mission Statement:
This Ministry is the process by which a person becomes baptized in or converts to Catholicism. The program involves both an inquiry time, in which general questions are answered, and a formal period of instruction. Interviews of those interested in joining the inquiry period can take place at any time. Formal classes begin in late summer and last until Pentecost, which is 50 days after Easter. This ministry affords the opportunity to share the faith as well as to update one's personal knowledge of Catholicism. Catholics who have been baptized but not confirmed are encouraged to attend R.C.I.A. to prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation.
Volunteer Information: Many volunteers are needed to accomplish this ministry and serve as catechists, sponsors, hospitality committee, and administration. For further information, call Lauren Triplett at (972)492-3237 ext 123 or email
