Vocations
Have you ever considered being a priest?
OH NO IM GETTING MARRIED
The same goes for women and the question of being a nun.
For many their first reaction to being asked if they have ever considered a religious life is to run for the hills. Many never consider that God might be calling them to a Vocation as a Priest, Brother or Sister. To make it simple, a vocation is a calling by God to follow a path usually in the Sacrament of Marriage or as a consecrated religious. God does not force us to become a Priest or Nun! HE CALLS US! Even in your teen years God can begin calling some men and women to follow Him and live the Gospel radically. The first step to just simply put the possibility of a Religious vocation on your list of possibilities for your future. You do not have to put it at the top of the list but just having it on the list will suffice. Many times if you truly have a calling, God will work through your life and guide you to a desire just simply because you are open to Him leading you. Not everyone is called to be a Priest, Brother or Sister, but for those who do choose to follow God's calling and pursue a religious life, He will equip you with you need. Pray Pray Pray, for vocations to the religious life, remember Mass cannot continue if we do not have Priests to consecrate the Eucharist, and also pray for your vocation, that God will lead you to fullness of life by following His will for your life.
